Nutrient management plans should be reviewed and updated annually, so that changes in animal density, land base, feed rations and cropping patterns can be taken into account. The plan should indicate the duration as well as the circumstances or changes in the farm operation that would require the plan to be modified or updated (Maryland Dept. of Agriculture 1999).
